Warm Weekend On Tap Unsettled Weather, Storm Chances Return
While winds will remain blustery today, gusting near 30 mph at times, much warmer temperatures, 70s, make an appearance and last through Monday. Storm chances reach the Upper Mississippi River Valley overnight into Tuesday, lasting through midweek. Over the couple days, widespread rainfall will help quench ongoing drought conditions as there's 40 to 50% chance that a given location sees over an inch of rainfall. While there remains plenty to sort out in the forecast, we even could see a few severe storms in the afternoon and evening hours on Tuesday south of I-90. Cooler weather arrives for the latter part of the week with lingering rain showers, possibly mixed with snow Friday.
