...IMPACTFUL WINTER STORM TODAY AND THIS EVENING...

.A narrow band of heavy, wet snow and very strong winds will
accompany a late winter storm today and this evening. Snow totals
will likely range from 4 to 8 inches. There may be some isolated
higher totals. In addition to the snow, strong north winds will gust
from 35 to 55 mph. When coupled with the heaviest snow rates this
afternoon, white out and blizzard conditions will be possible.

* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow and sleet accumulations between 1
and 3 inches. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph.

* WHERE...In Iowa, Allamakee and Chickasaw Counties. In Wisconsin,
Adams, Juneau, and Vernon Counties.

* WHEN...From noon today to 10 PM CDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
conditions could impact the Wednesday evening commute. Strong
winds could cause tree damage.
